I was born and raised in Malaysia, attending a Malay-speaking school while speaking Tamil and English at home. Growing up with multiple languages showed me how special it is to have a connection to different cultures and the stories that come with them.
After moving to Canada and raising my own children, I realized how easy it is for heritage languages to get lost when English becomes the main language of everyday life. I wanted my kids to at least know the basics of Tamil ,the words, the sounds, and the little connections that keep them close to their roots.

An uncle to many and an ex startup Founder I noticed that there wasn’t enough material out there taking advantage of the technology we have available to us today, to help educate the Tamil Youth in their mother tongue. I seek to bridge the gap and normalize speaking Tamil abroad. I'm a certified change manager and help organizations advance through digital transformations.
Mark Lewis
I studied software engineering and developed a passion for making projects that are built for consumer friendliness in mind. I see that there is a need for more tools and resources for Tamil education. On top of creating these books I intend to create more applications for learning Tamil.
